When is Personal Umbrella Insurance necessary?

A Personal Umbrella policy is insurance that provides liability coverage above and beyond your Automobile or Homeowner’s Insurance policy.  When your underlying limits have been reached, the Umbrella Policy with kick in.

For example, let’s say you are in a car accident and the other party is suing you for $500,000 to cover their medical bills and the cost of them being out of work for six months.  If your Auto Insurance policy’s limit is $250,000, where would the other $250,000 come from?  Hello Umbrella policy!  Not having an Umbrella policy can put all your hard earned assets at risk.

Call Armstrong Fairway Insurance (760) 245-2561, for a quote on an Umbrella policy today, you’ll be glad you did.
