What is OEM Coverage?

Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) Parts Coverage
OEM Coverage - What is it? Why buy it?

OEM coverage is an additional coverage that can be purchased on your auto policy. In the event that your vehicle is damaged in an accident, having OEM coverage would mean that the parts would be replaced with the original factory equipment. Without purchasing this coverage, the insurance company will only pay for after-market parts, which are not made directly by your car's manufacturer. However, if you want to ensure that your Ford Explorer gets Ford parts or that your BMW is repaired with parts directly from BMW, then OEM coverage is for you. If you are interested in adding this coverage and/or have questions regarding the coverage, please contact one of our knowledgeable agents by calling (760)245-2561.
