ATTENTION ALL UBER & LYFT DRIVERS:

If you are an Uber or Lyft driver and/or driving for another Transportation Network Company (TNC), it has probably crossed your mind a time or two
whether or not you are properly insured while working.
Most insurance companies exclude coverage for an Uber or Lyft driver’s personal vehicles while
they are working for a TNC.
However, transportation agency will provide coverage from the point that the ride is accepted, to the point when the passenger is dropped off. Well, what about the time between
when the app is turned on and the driver is waiting to pick up passenger(s)?
The insurance companies refer to this time period as “period 1,” and several insurance companies are now offering coverage for this!

CSE Insurance Group has provided the info graphic below to explain the different time periods and to show when their policy will cover the driver

Armstrong Fairway Insurance works with several companies that provide a similar endorsement, including CSE Insurance Grou. Please call our office at (760)245-2561 to discuss this coverage so that we can ensure you are properly insured.
